LEARN MORE ABOUT SOPHIES'S YOGA JOURNEY 

I am originally from Germany and I moved to Amsterdam to pursue a Master degree in Environment & Resource Management. Here I discovered how Yoga could give me a sense of purpose, guiding others towards a healthy, mindful, and sustainable lifestyle.

In 2015, I first started with an Astanga Yoga training at Delight Yoga Amsterdam, where I still teach today. My passion for Dance has brought me to a teacher called Shiva Rea, that I followed many trainings with after. She inspired me to teach a flow like yoga style called “Prana Vinyasa”. With this style of yoga, a sequence builds up intelligently to prepare the body for a peak pose. I like to keep people pulsating with the breath, rather then staying static to explore maximum space and benefits for the body. I also teach aroma yoga classes as I love the therapeutic value of essential oils. They are a powerful tool for meditation and emotional support as well as alternative medicine for all kinds of health concerns. Further, I like to explore the philosophy of yoga from books and having done a 10-day Vipassana meditation course. This way I learned a lot about the Eastern wisdom of Happiness and would love to share my perspectives with you.
